Our task is to help businesspeople realise their development plans by helping to make things possible and opening doors. We are a pilot in the Municipal Hall and a link to industry and authorities.
Reaching out to our target groups with relevant information is another important part of our activity and we contribute to many important development issues and projects that focus on future growth, all based on close cooperation between industry on location and the municipality.
Growth programme
Piteå has chosen to prioritise and focus its long-term growth work on six operational areas. The choice of areas is based on a collective assessment of development in the surrounding world as well as the branches of industry in Piteå that have the best conditions for growth. The main criteria are development potential and a growing market for the chosen areas. Consideration has also been taken based on where the Municipality of Piteå’s investment and contribution will have the greatest chance of having an effect.

• Health & rehabilitation
• Trade, tourism and arrangements
