The Municipality of Piteå has many areas in which it offers direct service to its citizens: consumer guidance for those who need help with something they have bought or are going to buy, complaints and consumer rights. It also offers planning of private finances, and support and help with debt restructuring.

Marriage
If you are planning a civil marriage, you can do so at the Municipality of Piteå. We have four civil marriage officiators who will try to conduct the ceremony the way you want it, as far as possible.

Two witnesses of legal age must be present at the ceremony. They may be relatives or friends. If you are unable to arrange your own witnesses, the Municipal Executive Office’s staff can act as witnesses.
