Piteå has libraries where you can borrow books, read newspapers and listen to music, as well as football pitches, sports halls, riding schools and ice-skating rinks. If you like to swim, there are indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
 
Piteå has a wide range of cultural programmes. There are theatre and dance performances, and films and musical arrangements almost daily. There is something for all ages.
