Walk with a biologist - on tracks from the bronze age
Walk in the Footsteps of Bronze Age Hunters
This hike takes you on a historical journey in the footsteps of Bronze Age hunters. We walk the Akeologstigen, which is Norrbotten's largest collection of ancient finds from the Bronze and Iron Ages, where we learn about the cairns and how these graves were created, try to imagine the Bronze Age world 3-4000 years ago and how people lived then.
We take you back to the landscape when the Gulf of Bothnia covered most of the coastline in Norrbotten and fishermen and seal owners visited the outer archipelago islands such as Högbeget in Jävre where we stand and look out over the archipelago and the Gulf of Bothnia
