We live in a time where terms such as authentic, pure and genuine are becoming more and more common and whose meaning may have a greater charge than in a long time. The pure, unadulterated, is considered desirable, something that is shrouded in the unclean. The clean is bright and beautiful, the unclean is dark and ugly. This phenomenon can also be seen among other artistic disciplines and within the societal debate. To value the one before and superior to the other. In the world of religion, something pure and innocent is sought that will give us happiness and peace of mind in a life after this. Life here and now is unclean and full of guilt, shame and sin. In the world of politics, it looks nostalgically back to a time that was perceived as cleaner, safer and better, free from the interference of impure elements. In all the different worlds of art, thoughts constantly recur about what is pure and impure, what is genuine and spurious. The interpersonal encounter is also characterized by our perceptions of what is pure and impure, of what we experience as known and what is perceived as unknown. It is at this turning point between what is considered pure and impure, genuine and spurious that IMPURO has emerged. Dance, music, circus, image and light are all equal parameters in production. The scenography consists of three rooms that all represent different thoughts and attitudes to who we are and how I became me Impuro is a new hybrid work where artists from different disciplines meet. A project that wants to remind us about the equal value of all human beings, no matter where we come from and no matter where we live.
