Norrbotten's Youth Symphony Orchestra turns 30!
Norrbotten's Youth Symphony Orchestra turns 30! A large symphony orchestra - 70 young musicians on stage. In addition, a musical soloist buffet where some of the orchestra's former members feature a specially composed arrangement of well-known classics signed by Gunnar Ullberg. All under the direction of the permanent artistic director Leif Karlsson who has been with us from the very beginning. The presenter is Norrbottensteatern's Maria Pontén, herself once a member of Norrbottens ungdomssymfoniker. - It will be a concert with a high shill factor, says Åsa Danell, producer at Norrbottensmusiken. When Norrboittens ungdomssymfoniker celebrates its first 30 years, it happens with the help of former orchestra members who now come together to celebrate with the current orchestra crew. Several of them today are well-established musicians both nationally and internationally. Over the years, a total of about 500 young musicians have lived up to the expectations and demands placed on this nursery that has enriched the entire region's musical life - not only in the form of professional musicians, but also as talented amateur musicians or knowledgeable audiences. Over the years, NUS has grown and developed into one of three orchestras for talent development throughout the country.
