That she is now collaborating with the Norrbotten Big Band is no surprise, the band has long wanted to push its own traditions.   Born in Engerdal, South Sami, Marja has always been passionate about preserving her heritage and language. She has dug into archives, interviewed yoikers and collaborated with, among others, Mari Boine and Sofia Jannok. Ole Jörn Myklebust, who has previously had success with big band and yoik, is in charge of the arrangements. I want the concert to be repeated – immediately! was the review.   Rebecka Törnqvist, one of Sweden's most respected jazz and pop singers, has a career that extends from the Grammis-winning hits of the 1990s to today's jazz scene. Rebecka and Johan Lindström, who are known for their pedal steel guitar and their arrangements for great Swedish artists, have collaborated for a long time and form a radar pair that lifts music to new heights. Johan Lindström has played with the Norrbotten Big Band several times before, and was among the Composer in Residence for the band in 2020.
