Gounod's opera Romeo and Juliet in a new staging by Bartlett Sher will be broadcast live to Folkets Hus and Parker's cinemas in Sweden on March 23. Don't miss Nadine Sierra and Benjamin Bernheim in the title roles.

Two singers at the peak of their careers – soprano Nadine Sierra and tenor Benjamin Bernheim – meet as the loving couple in Charles Gounod's opera based on Shakespeare's play. Yannick Nézet-Séguin takes the podium to conduct one of history's most romantic scores in a scenography that breathes late 18th-century Italy.

Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Sher's production also stars baritone Will Liverman and tenor Frederick Ballentine as arch-rivals Mercutio and Tybalt. Mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey plays the mischievous running boy Stefano and bass-baritone Alfred Walker is Brother Laurence.
