The Municipality of Piteå arranges support and help for families with children. Parents and children can receive guidance and support on social and other important issues.
Parental support
The target group is children and young people aged 0 to 20, or for the time the young persons remain at upper secondary school, who need special support.

The Family House
Familjens Hus (the Family House) is a meeting place for parents and children. The aim is to bring about good health among children and young people by providing conditions for good parenting. The Family House offers advice and support based on a holistic view of the family.
The hub of the activity is an open preschool with educational activities for children and parents. There are also parental therapy groups, paternity confirmation, a special needs teacher, etc. The Family House also offers seminars on current themes, song and story times, lectures and theme days.
