Pite Havsbad area
A visit to Pite Havsbad is a must when you are in Piteå. Known as the “Riviera of the North,” it brings visitors all year round and it's just as impressive during the bright days of summer as in the sparkling winter landscape. Here, you are greeted by stunning views over the Bay of Bothnia and out toward Piteå’s beautiful archipelago.
This is also where the Pite River flows into the sea. The islands of Klubben, Huvan, Lill-Sandskäret, Tallskäret, and Stenskär clearly show how the Pite River esker continues out into the water. In early spring, open patches of water form near the stone piers at the river's edge, where migrating birds often stop to rest.
With its approximately five-kilometer-long sandy beach and sweeping views over the Bay of Bothnia, this is a place that offers nature experiences all year round.
