And in the same way that the death knell goes from generation to generation, the band has now gained new blood with two new, younger members. Since the 80s, Hemul has played their own music, which they began to call Grynings- och skymningsmusik early on. Which, incidentally, is also the name of their album (available on Spotify). It is difficult to generalize the music in any genre – the closest thing is probably the epithet progressive rock.   After a long rest, the band has now resurfaced in a new version. They have refreshed songs from a previous repertoire and created a lot of new material. Through simple, focused actions, we shift attention away from "drawing correctly" toward noticing what is happening — in the body, in the hand, and in the material. Lines may be repeated, interrupted, or intensified. Playfulness meets exploration — structure meets impulse. The workshop takes its starting point in the artistic practice of Stina Edin, where the process is just as important as the result, and where working with materials, rhythm, and attention is central. It is an invitation to approach creativity with an open, almost newborn perspective. No prior experience is required. Curiosity is enough. The workshop is part of Art on the Map of Norrbotten and is the final joint initiative following an art inventory project carried out during 2025 and parts of 2026 in seven municipalities in Norrbotten: Arvidsjaur, Haparanda, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, Luleå, Piteå, and Älvsbyn. The purpose of the project has been to develop a sustainable model for inventorying municipal art collections, as well as to strengthen the long-term management of Norrbotten's artistic treasures as part of the region's cultural heritage, history, and contemporary identity. During the month of May, an extensive program of workshops, guided tours, and exhibitions will take place across all participating municipalities. The debut album Älskar, älskar inte from 2023 was praised by critics and reviewers, and they were compared to ABBA, among others. Now new songs, gems from the first album and exciting newly written material await to be performed with the powerful sound of the big band. Tilde Schweizer, one of Sweden's most prominent young arrangers, is taking care of the arrangements and promises to give the duo's songs a whole new dimension. Tilde is the trombonist who, through her own big band, has managed to create a new interest in both jazz and the big band as a format. Four cities in four countries are united in one and the same simultaneous opera performance: The Nine Lives of Zosimos will premiere simultaneously in Bergen, Berlin, Piteå and Cairo. With the help of telematic technology, musicians, singers and dancers will meet in real time across national borders.   In the opera, composed by Jostein Stalheim with a libretto by Astrid Niebuhr, you will be taken on a journey where technology meets live music, visual and video art, intertwined with choreography, scenography and soundscapes. Zosimos, the opera's main character – an ancient Egyptian alchemist – plays out a story of time travel and migration, from Egypt in the 4th century to today's Europe. It is also a story of fear and care, flight and return. The famously feuding couple briefly relive their stormy love, embracing both passion and pain before bidding a final farewell to the world of the living.   Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Met premiere of Frank's opera, a confident, richly imaginative composition (The New Yorker), bursting with color and fresh originality (Los Angeles Times).
