Lägg i kalender2026-01-28 13:002026-01-28 14:30Europe/StockholmAcusticum Talks STE(A)MSweden has a long tradition of allowing technical, cultural and artistic perspectives to meet. This has contributed to Sweden, despite its small size, being very successful in exporting both culture and technology from the pacemaker and Spotify to Minecraft, Volvo and Ikea.
The government's new STEM strategy is to strengthen Swedish skills supply, that is, people's knowledge, skills, talents and education, with a focus on technology, science and mathematics. It is an important step. But if we are serious about building the skills of the future for a sustainable and innovative society, is it enough to focus on the measurable and technical? Don't we also need to protect the skills that understand form, function, culture and human needs?
Collaboration between education, culture and business is often highlighted as important - but does it work in practice? What opportunities and challenges come with different working methods? What is the importance of aesthetic subjects for learning in school? How can creativity and artistic working methods contribute to understanding, motivation and critical thinking? And which pedagogical perspectives become relevant when different forms of knowledge meet?
This year's first Acusticum Talks invites you to a conversation about these questions – without given answers, but with the ambition to explore the future of learning, collaboration and creativity together.
Panelists:
Karin Sjöö Åkeblom, CEO Tromb, a consulting company in digital business development and technology
Ylva Hofvander Trulsson, professor of didactics of aesthetic subjects and head of the department Industrial Design, Lund University of Technology
Ulrika Bergmark, professor of pedagogy, Department of Health, Learning and Technology, Luleå University of Technology
Henrik Bucht, CEO Piteå Science Park
David Eknor, teacher, technology program at Strömbacka School
Case presentation from RISE digital systems

Double bass, electric bass and effects make up her palette. Known for moving seamlessly between genres, she weaves elements from modern jazz, rock and experimental music into her compositional process.
After the international success of her debut album Karthago in 2022, Ilaria comes to Piteå with newly written music for her quintet. The Brightest Sun is inspired by the transformative experience of motherhood. The music moves between powerful and intimate moments, it is both raw and unpredictable, but also tender. A storyteller in soul and heart, Ilaria creates music that is rich, immediate, deeply personal but at the same time close and lasting for the listener. The band was selected to perform during the European Showcases at jazzahead! 2025.
The band consists of:
Ilaria Capalbo, bass
Thomas Backman, alto sax, bass clarinet
Fredrik Nordström, tenor sax and baritone sax
Andreas Hourdakis, guitar

Two acrobats in a relationship built on precision, communication and compromise. In the close space between them, a world emerges where weight becomes language and trust becomes a tool. The audience sits close as the acrobatics slowly unfolds – powerful, fragile and stripped-down. There is no glitter, no illusions. Everything is created between two people. Weight and Trust is an intimate circus performance that examines what it takes to trust someone with your whole body.
The performance is produced by Kaaos Kaamos – an international circus collective based in Umeå.

The performance is based on the children's book Folk - strangers and friends when you might know and the music album Folk - poems and tones about people.
With colors, shapes, texts and music as a basis, the moods of the illustrations are transformed into movements.
Like the book's page turning, the performance shifts in expression and offers fast-paced dance, interactive sound and movement games as well as everyday poetry and a philosophical moment between audience and dancer.

In his new stand-up show "Medborgare Nûjen" he examines whether election promises have been broken, examines which politicians have made promises but kept their word, and does not hesitate to point out the parties' betrayal of their own voters. No one is spared from his sharp gaze - all parliamentary parties can count on their fair share of Özz's whipping humor.
- The Swedish election campaign has only just begun and now I will be there too. I stand on the side of the citizens against the government and all parties, for a more fun Sweden, says Özz Nûjen. And he has a clear goal for the extensive stand-up tour: - I want to get more people to vote! I want people to watch my show, laugh their hearts out while banging their fists on the table and realizing the importance of voting in the next parliamentary election, says Özz.
Aftonbladet ++++ There is always a need for someone to strip power and draw a brown mustache on the election poster. Özz Nûjen is at his best in this sharp satire – and when he gets deeply personal. Perhaps his greatest strength as a comedian is a breathtaking swing between super-popular gaiety and, to quote Bob Hund, "un-Swedish atmosphere. DN Professional Özz Nûjen mixes nonsense and deep seriousness in his election campaign A fun evening with one of our finest stand-up veterans SvD The ear files are raining down on Özz Nûjen's election manifesto Ystad Allehanda, rating 4 out of 5 Provocative and witty and full of both comedic and political points A very funny and thought-provoking performanceChristinasalenContactcharlotta.nyqvist@allthingslive.seSaturday 21 February

The show, which listeners voted P3's greatest comedy programme of all time in 2009, is back with a brand-new season – and a completely unique stage show! Bengt Strömbro and Olof Wretling are taking Mangan and other Wretling characters on the This Is Your Life tour.
In This Is Your Life, Bengt invites audience favourite Mangan to an unforgettable evening filled with memories and unexpected revelations. We follow Mangan's astonishing life journey – from when he rollerbladed all the way between Treriksröset and Smygehuk without stopping, to when he chose to live screen-free on a barren mountain plateau to cure his mobile phone addiction. We also hear about the community service sentence he received on a farm after illegally downloading rom-coms, as well as his most recent grand adventure: Mangan in the Jungle, a survival course in the footsteps of Tarzan.
But it doesn't stop with Mangan. Throughout the evening, several other familiar faces appear, including Peter Nilsson, Shanti, and not least Katla. It's a night packed with memories, surprises, and Mom's New Boyfriend humour in true This Is Your Life spirit. This is not to be missed!

A longing for cultural expressions that once existed, but never had the opportunity to live on, characterizes the experiences of many Kvans. For the Kvans – an ethnic and cultural minority in Norway – this is a reality that takes shape in the project Kaipu, presented by Norrbotten World in collaboration with Arctic Pulse and the North Norwegian Jazz Center.
Kaipu means longing and missing in Kvan, a language similar to Meänkieli. The Kvans have their own culture and history, but have been subjected to Norwegianization policies over the years. The music and art project Kaipu was created by northern Norwegian artists and musicians with the goal of highlighting and reinterpreting the Kvan cultural heritage. Some of the experiences that Kvans have had and are still experiencing are reflected on stage, a history that is largely reminiscent of our own Swedish indigenous population.
In 2026, Kaipu will be presented in collaboration with Norrbotten World and Arctic Pulse. The music is based on adapted Kvan songs, hymns, lyrics, rhymes and chants, mixed with jazz and modern expressions such as electronics and improvisation. A strong and touching tribute to Kvan culture is expected here, a unique performance that allows the music to carry the stories of an entire people.

No one remains untouched by this unbelievable new addition to the local entertainment scene. And as if that weren't enough, the mythical Näcken himself is said to be lurking along the forest's edge. Is this new venue a threat—or an opportunity?
That's the question facing entrepreneur Robert, stag-party tourist Macke, the belly-dancing Lullan, and foot-care guru Olav. Meanwhile, the frustrated Hildegard, played by Anna Blomberg, has her life turned upside down.
When she teams up with the dancer Jessica to hunt down the mysterious Näcken, not only does an unexpected friendship emerge—she also realises that the great secret she's been carrying will soon be revealed.
