This operatic gem from one of the great masters of melody is a milestone in the art of singing. The title role of the sleepwalking girl was written for the greatest diva of the time, Giuditta Pasta. The role demands a rare combination of innocence, charm and astonishing vocal virtuosity. Deeper than a comedy, but by no means a tragedy, La Sonnambula reaches its resolution through gripping character development rather than through intrigue or farce. La Sonnambula had its world premiere at the TeatroCarcano in Milan in 1831.
Director Rolando Villazón, who has gone from successful tenor to brilliant director, places the opera in its original setting in the Swiss Alps, while exploring its dreamlike story from a psychological perspective. Riccardo Frizza conducts one of opera's most enchanting compositions in this live performance from the Met.

With over three decades in the service of music, Mattias Alkberg is one of Sweden's most uncompromising and headstrong voices. As a poet, punk, pop craftsman and rock icon, he has constantly moved in the borderland between the brutally honest and the unexpectedly beautiful – often in the same breath.
Alkberg has released over 30 albums over the years, both as a solo artist and with various bands. At first glance, La Bohème is the definitive depiction of the joy of love and the sorrow of loss, but upon closer inspection, the deep emotional meaning hidden in the trivialities of everyday life – a hat, an old coat, a chance meeting with a neighbor – the small details that make up our lives. La Bohème had its world premiere at the Teatro Regio in Turin in 1896. Soprano Juliana Grigoryan stars as the fragile seamstress Mimì, with Freddie De Tommaso as the passionate poet Rodolfo. Ola Aurell is a singing comedian and something of a cult-declared love child between stand-up and singing. His idiosyncratic songs move freely between genius and sick, between giggles and finesse and between the darkly funny and the funnily dark.
Over the years, Ola has appeared in everything from Allsång på Skansen and Svenska Nyheter to visbattle in SVT's Rostmacka. He has tens of millions of streams on Spotify and has, among other things, made an award-winning show about Thomas Quick and a children's book about a radicalized hedgehog.

The goal? To create unique and developing material that both challenges and inspires the band's musicians and audience. This year, the choice is one of the jazz world's most exciting voices - Karmen Rõivassepp.
It's about paving the way for new ways of thinking and creating something really exciting together with the musicians, says the big band's artistic director, Joakim Milder.
Karmen Rõivassepp, an Estonian singer, composer and arranger, has already made a strong impression on the Scandinavian jazz scene.
Before the project, Karmen and the orchestra meet on three occasions to develop ideas and create music that makes both the collective and the individual grow. For Karmen, this is a dream opportunity: - To be able to work with an orchestra like this and in this way is a dream for any artist, she says.
Joakim Milder pays tribute to her latest album Ambivalence:

Students will play the only surviving music by Pierre Du Mage, from his organ book of 1708. The second part of the program consists of music written by Jehan Alain, one of the most creative organ composers of the 20th century.
