The Swedish Tourist Association (Svenska Turistföreningen) wants to inspire you who are 50+ to feel more confident in nature and experience a sense of community. We therefore invite you to a free introduction to hiking and outdoor life! We will start at the parking area next to the riding stable and will hike approximately 3 km in easy forest terrain on trails with several breaks. Along the way, the tour leader Jörgen will share useful information about things that are good to know when going on an easy hiking trip. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to hike together with others in easy terrain. Please bring your own fika (coffee break snacks), water, a sitting pad, weather-appropriate clothing, and comfortable shoes. A warm welcome! Important information: Start time: 09:00. End time: 12:00. At Pite Dragway in Långnäs, just outside Piteå, it's time for this year's big drag racing competition again. At Pite Dragway, drag racing competitions organized by SHRA Luleå have been held for 50 years. What kind of motorsport is drag racing, you might wonder? Drag racing is the world's fastest motorsport where two cars, motorcycles or snowmobiles compete against each other to see who can drive the 402.3 meters of the track in the best time. Pite Dragway is known for being one of the country's best tracks, and in recent years a lot of improvements have been made that have resulted in it becoming a very audience-friendly arena. From the raised, more than 200-meter-long grandstand, you can follow the racing cars as they rush down the track. If you want to stretch your legs, you can walk around the pit behind the starting area and look at all the well-built cars and motorcycles while the teams are working on them between races. Pite Dragway is now an established track throughout Europe.
