Stor-Räbben naturstig
Stor-Räbben – a journey of discovery into the history and nature of the archipelago
Join us on a hike along the Stor-Räbben nature trail – a trip that takes one or two hours and offers a unique experience in an archipelago environment. The trail leads you up to the top of the island, where the lighthouse and vast fields of pebbles await, along with traces from a bygone era.
Along the way, you pass ancient settlements and mysterious labyrinths, before reaching the sea with an open horizon, Nummerhällan and smooth cliffs perfect for a break. Via the old goat trail, the hike continues back towards Svarthällan fishing village, sand dunes and beautiful natural swimming pools.
At several places along the trail there are numbered posts that guide you further and tell you about how the forces of nature shaped the island – and how seal owners and fishermen once lived here.
There is no electricity on Stor-Räbben, which enhances the feeling of tranquility and closeness to nature. Here you get a genuine experience of both history and archipelago life.
It is possible to book overnight accommodation in a cabin for those who want to stay longer – but keep in mind that you need a boat to get here.
A warm welcome to Stor-Räbben!
