Piteå boat museum
In the charming old harbor warehouses in the Southern Harbor, there is plenty to explore for anyone interested in boats. Here you can see old wooden boats, boat engines, and fishing equipment as well as gear that seal hunters brought with them during their months out on the ice.
Discover exhibitions on maritime life, industry, labyrinths, fishing, and seal hunting. You can also learn about the Munksund boats and the history of the harbor warehouses, see a steam engine from the tugboat Kraft, and explore Emil Sandberg’s boatbuilding workshop from 1936.
Step into our large cabin and experience the scent of tar and the echoes of history up close.
