Town Hall Square
The present town hall was built in 1829.
It´s regional design was influenced by the Finnish-Russian wood empire that existed on the opposite side of the Baltic.
You will find it on the Town Hall Square, which is one of only two preserved 17th century squares, having closed off corners, in the country.
Today, Piteå Museum is located here, where you can see its permanent exhibition, including a miniature display showing what Piteå looked like at the end of the 19th century, among other things.
