Strömlida jogging and ski track
Strömlida’s exercise trail is the perfect spot for anyone who wants to combine fitness, nature, and easy access – right in the heart of town.
The trail starts at the top of Strömlidabacken, where you’re immediately rewarded with fresh air and a lovely view. During the summer, you’ll also find an outdoor gym right next to the trail, perfect for an extra workout or adding some variety to your routine.
The trail itself is 3.2 km long and winds its way through the scenic Svartuddsområdet. Here, you can run or walk along the edge of the forest while passing the beautiful course of Piteå Golf Club – a route that offers both tranquility and variety.
On the way up to the top, there’s a cozy barbecue area with tables and benches. It’s an ideal spot for a break, a coffee, or maybe grilling something tasty over an open fire.
In winter, Strömlidabacken transforms into a popular sledding hill.
For cycling enthusiasts, the area has also become something of a favorite. The forest trails around the track attract mountain bikers, and there are specially designed MTB trails for added speed and technical challenge.
