Djupviksleden - bike route
The Djupvik Trail begins at the intersection of Nygatan and Olof Palmes Street, just above the city hotel.
Opposite the entrance to Piteå City Library, the trail bends via Nils Edéns Väg up towards the residential area of Djupviken. The trail continues past Brunnsparken, a small green area that reminds us that Piteå was known as a health resort for a time in the nineteenth century. After Brunnsparken, the trail passes through a tunnel under the Norra Ringen and climbs steeply upwards, passing Grisberget and continuing into Djupviken. The trail continues past a playground and goes under Fårövägen via another tunnel. Eventually, the trail passes Piteå's environmental school, Långskataskolan, and ends where Räkstigen meets Långskatavägen. Here you can easily connect to the Ankarskataleden trail and follow it towards Öjebyn or back to your starting point.
Length: approx. 3.3 km
The trail runs along pedestrian and cycle paths and in mixed traffic
