Elias Trail is a beautiful hiking trail with varied terrain, starting in Svensbyn and stretching up to Kalahatten, covering up to 26 km. '
Hikers can choose different routes or divide the hike over two days, with overnight options along the trail. The trail is named after the legendary master thief Elias.

You’ll hike through ancient forests, lush wetlands, and rocky areas, with plenty of viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramas. Along the trail, there are shelters, barbecue areas, and small fishing lakes. The popular Elias Cave, just under a kilometer from the start, makes for a great short hike, while a climb up Larssonsberget rewards you with spectacular views of Infjärden.

The trail also has three side trips, including a 6 km hike to Kalahatten (240 m above sea level) and a 9 km hike to the picturesque Nötmyrbodarna, featuring a restored forest hut and tar kiln.

The Legend of Elias:
Elias, a 19th-century master thief, is said to have stolen from the rich to help the poor. His clever escapes and daring exploits make him a local folk hero, and the trail is a tribute to his adventurous spirit.
