Visit Piteå in the winter - what to expect

  • Piteå has a subarctic climate with very cold winters, typically lasting from December to March. Average daytime temperatures range from -3°C to -9°C, while nighttime temperatures can drop to between -10°C and -19°C. In exceptonal cases it can drop as low as -30°C. The winter months bring moderate snowfall. Packing warm clothing is essential.
