Through rhythmic and intense choreography, the work explores the boundaries of the body and what happens when it moves at the intersection of haunted margins and glittering pop culture. The work is infused with the raw fragility of coming-of-age films, reflecting that time in life when everything feels uncertain, overwhelming, too close. A time when the body reaches for belonging and carries an inner rebellion that refuses to be tamed. Norrdans meets Malik Nashad Sharpe in a collaboration that challenges both traditions and the senses. Together with an artistic team that moves effortlessly between art and pop culture, they create an experience where melancholy and despair are not just destinations, but starting points for finding light in the darkness. The children's choirs from Tallhedskyrkan and Hortlax EFS will inaugurate the 24th with noise and bang! The best start to the day. The next act on the 24th, 13.00, is a duo consisting of Mona Hammerin and David Sandström. They will offer guitar-based music and vocals where they interpret songs by, among others, Allen Stone, Susan Tedeschi and Chris Stapleton. The goal? To create unique and developing material that both challenges and inspires the band's musicians and audience. This year, the choice is one of the jazz world's most exciting voices - Karmen Rõivassepp.   It's about paving the way for new ways of thinking and creating something really exciting together with the musicians, says the big band's artistic director, Joakim Milder.   Karmen Rõivassepp, an Estonian singer, composer and arranger, has already made a strong impression on the Scandinavian jazz scene.   Before the project, Karmen and the orchestra meet on three occasions to develop ideas and create music that makes both the collective and the individual grow. For Karmen, this is a dream opportunity: - To be able to work with an orchestra like this and in this way is a dream for any artist, she says.   Joakim Milder pays tribute to her latest album Ambivalence:   It is a mature work with a clear artistic language, a strong aesthetic and impressive craftsmanship.
