In the fall of 2024, she and the band are doing a common thing with Norrbotten Big Band.
- I love being on tour. It is on stage that music becomes real and it feels so luxurious to make my songs in a completely new way together with Norrbotten Big Band. They are absolutely incredible and I get extremely excited just by the thought of what we will be able to do together. God, we're going to have so much fun!, says Linnea Henriksson.
Her music has been played over 200 million times on Spotify and she has received prestigious awards such as P3 Gold (Artist of the Year 2012, Pop of the Year 2019), Alice Babs Jazz Scholarship in 2015 and was named Folkets hus och parker's Ulla Billquist scholarship holder in 2016. In addition to music, she has also popular as a presenter and has led Musikhjälpen several times, Melodifestivalen 2020 and most recently the series Den blomstertid 2023.
In April 2023, Linnea Henriksson released her latest album Det Lilla, which was described as pop music I really missed (Per Magnusson, Aftonbladet) and as inviting and sincere - but not least it is seductively beautiful (Hugo Göthberg, Nöjesguiden). In the late spring that followed, she took the music out on the road on the acclaimed small tour. An idea from herself where she wanted to create more stops on the Swedish tour map by attracting new people, organizers as audience, to the stage. In total, there were 22 stops for Linnea Henriksson and her band, which stretched to all possible stages from Kristianstad to Skellefteå. As a live performer, she is one of the most appreciated for her audience connection and can make any stage her own.

If you think that modern hard-swinging jazz and languid ballads rooted in tradition but forward-looking with star soloists and refined arrangements sound exciting, then you have found the right band.
The band has previously released 18 CDs and in February Horizon was released with music by Martin Sjöstedt on Ubuntu Records in England. There were glowing reviews in the major jazz magazines in England. In 2024, SJO celebrates its fortieth year as a jazz band with a tour.

It all started in 2014 with a shared love for timeless melodies – and coffee! Some talk vaguely about a kind of X-factor that makes the difference and that successful practitioners possess. However, until now, no one has been able to explain what this factor is.

Celebrated choral visit from northern Germany: Collegium Vocale Hannover presents highlights from the German-language choral a cappella repertoire on its tour through Sweden.
In addition to two late baroque motets by Johann Sebastian Bach (Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied and Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf) and Requiem by Peter Cornelius (Seele, vergiss nicht die Toten) there are also two compositions from 1900 and 21st century Switzerland on the program, including the well-known Messe pour double chœur a cappella by Frank Martin (1922/26) and a contemporary work by Beat Furrer from 2015.
In Piteå, the choir collaborates with the Academy of Music's chamber choir and Erik Westberg. Together, further sonorous works are performed. Welcome to the concert in Studio Acusticum on 5 October 2024 at 18.00.

The group's deepest intention is to expose Greek music, with its deepest roots in classical antiquity and later in pre-Christian and Byzantine times, to the non-Greek audience.
Apart from some songs and pieces of music by Mikis Theodorakis, there is little knowledge of Greek folk music in our country and outside the world.
The evening's program takes its roots in the rebetikon that was created in vulnerable areas where the Greek refugees from Asia Minor came when the Turks threw them out. Rebetikon was eventually taken up by the middle class and moved into finer contexts. Established composers such as Hadjidakis and Theodorakis were influenced by the style, popularizing the genre. Never think of a Sunday or Zorba. In addition to the music, the program offers personal reflections and small stories about our own entrances to rebetikon, mainly from the family histories of Christos and Pashali.
With this program we celebrate Taximi's 30th anniversary.

But then conductor, composer and arranger Örjan Fahlström took over the leadership and the early 80s came to be the time for Norrbotten Big Band's turnaround.
Now challenging music was written for the orchestra, a strict rehearsal schedule was established, pressure was put on the musicians for presence and delivery at a high level. And suddenly a powerful big band arose that put Norrland on Sweden's music map!
- It was an extremely rewarding time. I saw great potential in the orchestra with so many young musicians and promising soloists hungry for new music. Later we moved to Luleå and had the chance to meet a larger audience. There we ended up in the same premises as the Norrbottensteatern and a fantastic time ensued, says Örjan Fahlström.
The band continued to be successful and the next man on the desk was the American trumpeter Tim Hagans. The year was 1996 and the world opened up to the band. Now tours were organized in the USA and famous guests joined the band. Hagans tells us from the USA:
- My biggest goal was to bring Norrbotten Big Band's music outside Sweden's borders. I enjoyed every moment with the incredible musicians, both on and off stage. As well as getting to meet the smiling, knowledgeable audience. Their appreciation and enthusiasm was truly inspiring. Also producer Mirka Siwek was a key person for many years, without her it would never have become what it was. The whole thing was a magnificent experience.
So now Fahlström and Hagans will once again compose each piece for the band. We dare to promise exciting music at a sky-high level. And if we're really lucky, we also get to enjoy them both as instrumentalists there on stage as well. At least that's the rumor...
Örjan Fahlström is born in the area, vibraphonist and lecturer in composition at the Academy of Music in Stockholm.
Tim Hagans is an American trumpet player with numerous famous collaborations and a high number of Grammy nominations on his CV.

Guided by an intense longing to create together, a journey to other dimensions is formed where gravity ceases, new beings arise and time stands still. The Vessel is a hot circus performance filled with acrobatics, magic, juggling and live music, for the whole family.

Join us on a fantasy journey with The Vessel! A circus performance about how - and with what content - we fill our lives. The Vessel refers to the wisdom of Shaykh Abdullah Adhami: Every vessel, every container, will only pour out what is in it … The performance uses the container/content analogy as the starting point for a journey of imagination. What happens to a familiar room - a gymnasium, a library, an auditorium, a courtyard - if it is bathed in blue light, resounds with deep harmonic notes and is taken over by three acrobats? What have we just seen and what do we fill our lives with every day? The Vessel also refers to the English word for ship and brings together artists from Canada, Denmark and Sweden. With Chinese pole, cyr wheel, slack line, juggling and acrobatics, a collective expression takes shape. Movement and live music are fused together. Welcome aboard.
