Anniversary concert! The Academy of Music Chamber Choir celebrates 35 years

The Academy of Music's Chamber Choir celebrates its 35th anniversary with a grand anniversary concert on Wednesday, June 4 at 6:00 p.m. The choir returns from a tour to Riga and Vilnius and presents choral works with Swedish overtones – perfect ear candy in the month of May. The program also includes a specially written choral piece for the chamber choir by Jan Sandström, Now is the Month of Maying. As a guest artist, the chamber choir has the pleasure of performing with jazz pianist Lars Jansson.

 

During the concert, everyone is warmly welcome to participate in some of the choir's favorites such as I Seraillets Have and Uti vår hage. The choir leader is Erik Westberg, who formed the choir in 1990.
