As one

The chamber opera As One is about the trans woman Hannah and the challenges that characterise her life both before, during and after her transition. The opera is approximately 75 minutes long and written by the American composer Laura Kaminsky. As One had its world premiere in 2014 and has been described as one of the most important contemporary opera works in the United States. Since its premiere, it has been performed in over 60 productions around the world.
