KAIPPU

Kaipu is a strong and touching music experience that highlights the cultural heritage of the Kvänern - a history characterized by longing, loss and lost expressions. Through newly created music, old Kvan songs, lyrics and traditions are brought to life, here mixed with jazz, electronics and improvisation.

 

In 2026, Kaipu will be presented in a collaboration between Norrbotten World, Arctic Pulse and Nordnorskt Jazzcenter. This unique performance lets the music carry the stories of an entire people. It will be a strong and touching tribute to Kvan culture!
