Mariel Buckley - Outside the Box

Since Canadian artist and songwriter Mariel Buckley visited Sweden in the fall of 2024, many have longed for a comeback. The wow factor was a fact then – and now Mariel is coming with a band to Studio Acusticum for an evening where we are treated to an intimate gig that comes close to her personal and unique voice.

 

Mariel is known for her romantically melancholic expression and her emotionally strong melodies, often with ironic elements. Piteå will be one of the stops on her Swedish tour after playing all over the world with artists such as K.D. Lang and Orville Peck. She has also performed at prestigious festivals such as SXSW and Americanafest. During the evening, we will be treated to songs from her latest album Strange Trip Ahead, which was released in 2025.
