In a short time, Valter Nilsson has gone from an intimate club gig to one of the country’s most talked-about live phenomena. 

 

In just a few months, he sold out 12,000 tickets to Bananpiren in Gothenburg, and around the country, the audience is growing at a breakneck pace.

 

Now he is up to date with his long-awaited album Högsbo Riviera (released March 27, 2026), where he refines his soulful soul rock’n’roll – filled with everyday stories, social pathos and melodies that quickly become sing-along favorites. The first taste, the reality-based song Lukas, Dennis & farsan, clearly shows why more and more people want to be part of the community Valter Nilsson and his band create on stage.

 

After acclaimed and sold-out concerts at Nefertiti, Pustervik and Fasching, a notable appearance at Musikhjälpen and a win at the Nöjesguiden Gothenburg Prize, it is clear that Valter Nilsson's journey has only just begun. On the new album, created together with the gun-bearer Johan Weber, the sound is broadened with brass and strings - which makes the music both bigger and more emotional. The result is a rare combination of self-confidence and humility: triumphant music that at the same time carries a touch of melancholy.
