Life is more than just music - Festspelen i Piteå

A unique and touching concert performance about love, friendship, gratitude and grief. Jojje Wadenius and Lotta Hasselquist Nilsson invite the audience on a personal journey through their lives – from Jojje’s childhood and meeting the great love of his life to Lotta who recently lost her life partner Stefan Nilsson. Together they create a story about how life can change, how music heals and how unexpected friendship can arise in the midst of grief.

 

The performance includes newly written songs by Jojje with lyrics by the poet Lotta Olsson, some of Jojje’s beloved nursery rhymes and some of Stefan Nilsson’s most famous compositions, from films such as Pelle Erövraren, Den ofrifillige golfaren, Martin Beck and the TV series Skärgårdsdoktorn. 

 

Jojje Wadenius, internationally acclaimed guitarist, songwriter and producer, known from Made in Sweden, Blood, Sweat & Tears and Saturday Night Live, meets Lotta Hasselquist Nilsson, concert pianist, music director and multi-instrumentalist, in a performance filled with presence, warmth and musical depth.

An evening that reminds us of the power of music to unite people, touch the heart and lift life, even in its most difficult moments.
