Welcome to a seminar where Professor Johan Frishammar from Luleå University of Technology presents results from an interview study on successes and challenges in commercializing waste streams in northern Sweden. Here, research and practice meet – with insights from both industry and small and medium-sized enterprises. This is an opportunity for those who want to develop new businesses based on waste streams, understand the market and system perspective, and take part in current research and practical experiences. The event is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises that want to turn industrial waste streams into new businesses. It is also relevant for those of you who work in industry and want to learn more about how waste streams can be converted into valuable resources and new businesses.

About Johan Frishammar
Johan Frishammar is a professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at Luleå University of Technology and educational leader for the Master of Science in Industrial Economics program. Most of Johan's research concerns innovation, technology development and strategy in established companies and organizations and he is ranked among the most productive (top 1%) researchers in Sweden within "business and management" by Research.com. In close collaboration with the business community, he conducts applied research together with leading companies such as Ericsson, Scania, Volvo, Volvo Cars, ABB, LKAB, Boliden, SSAB and Electrolux.
