Norrbotten Big Band with Michael Mayo

He was born right into the jazz and music crowd with Valerie Pinkston (singer behind, among others, Diana Ross, Beyoncé, Ray Charles) and saxophonist Scott Mayo (Earth, Wind & Fire, etc.) as parents. At a young age he took lessons from Herbie Hancock and the choice forward was a foregone conclusion. Now he is hailed as one of the world's absolute best jazz vocalists, renowned for his outstanding balance.

Norrbotten Big Band's genre-crossing trombonist Kristian Persson says:

Swedish drummer Calle Rasmusson is the organizer and conductor and the bar is set high with the expectation of great swing under a roof that spans many genres.
