DANS I PITEÅ: Rocío Molina & Sabîl - Impulso

Magnificent flamenco queen in concert with live music by the trio Sabîl.

Iconic choreographer and dancer Rocío Molina has made a name for himself for his technical virtuosity and conceptual risk-taking.

With a researching look at flamenco, she allows her dance to be permeated by both traditional and contemporary dance. Something that made Mikhail Baryshnikov kneel before her.

Unafraid to forge alliances with other disciplines and artists, her choreographies become unique stage events.

Impulso is no exception. Here she lets her heels stand in an intense dialogue with the Sabîl trio's oud, clarinet and percussion. For Ahmad Al Khatib's composition, a work is created that respects the traditional essence of flamenco and takes care of its inherited roots.

The performance tours through Dansnät Sweden with the support of the Culture Council.
