Tingsek, or Magnus Tingsek, has since his debut as a 27-year-old released seven albums that combine elements of gospel, soul, jazz and Swedish lyric. His latest album, Home, opens with the rhythmic sound of a Scanian pigeon and reflects his journey towards finding home, both geographically and spiritually. The lead track "Family" expresses his deep love for family and captures a feeling of warmth and closeness.
After a celebrated participation in Norrbotten Big Band's annual concert Soulful December 2019, a continued collaboration has been long-awaited. Now Tingsek's unique sound is combined with the big band's energy in a project where the music has been arranged by, among others, Norrbotten Big Band's artistic director, Joakim Milder.
We are very much looking forward to the collaboration with Tingsek, also because it is an obvious part of Norrbotten Big Band's idea of the organic music scene - where creative, creative meetings can grow, continue and deepen, says Joakim.
Don't miss the chance to experience this exciting meeting between Tingsek's soulful melodies and Norrbotten Big Band's powerful arrangements. An evening where musical worlds come together and create something new and unforgettable.

La Sonnambula will be broadcast live at Studio Acusticum on October 18.
This operatic gem from one of the great masters of melody is a milestone in the art of singing. The title role of the sleepwalking girl was written for the greatest diva of the time, Giuditta Pasta. The role demands a rare combination of innocence, charm and astonishing vocal virtuosity. Deeper than a comedy, but by no means a tragedy, La Sonnambula reaches its resolution through gripping character development rather than through intrigue or farce. La Sonnambula had its world premiere at the TeatroCarcano in Milan in 1831.
Director Rolando Villazón, who has gone from successful tenor to brilliant director, places the opera in its original setting in the Swiss Alps, while exploring its dreamlike story from a psychological perspective. Riccardo Frizza conducts one of opera's most enchanting compositions in this live performance from the Met.

Franco Zeffirelli's classic production captures the charm and romance of 19th-century Paris, where young bohemians struggle with love and the harsh realities of life. Live at Studio Acusticum, November 8.
La Bohème, the timeless story of love among young artists in Paris, has an uncanny ability to make a strong first impression and to reveal unexpected treasures even after countless listenings. At first glance, La Bohème is the definitive depiction of the joy of love and the sorrow of loss, but upon closer inspection, the deep emotional meaning hidden in the trivialities of everyday life – a hat, an old coat, a chance meeting with a neighbor – the small details that make up our lives. La Bohème had its world premiere at the Teatro Regio in Turin in 1896. Soprano Juliana Grigoryan stars as the fragile seamstress Mimì, with Freddie De Tommaso as the passionate poet Rodolfo. Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts this unforgettable performance, broadcast live from the Met.

The goal? To create unique and developing material that both challenges and inspires the band's musicians and audience. This year, the choice is one of the jazz world's most exciting voices - Karmen Rõivassepp.
It's about paving the way for new ways of thinking and creating something really exciting together with the musicians, says the big band's artistic director, Joakim Milder.
Karmen Rõivassepp, an Estonian singer, composer and arranger, has already made a strong impression on the Scandinavian jazz scene.
Before the project, Karmen and the orchestra meet on three occasions to develop ideas and create music that makes both the collective and the individual grow. For Karmen, this is a dream opportunity: - To be able to work with an orchestra like this and in this way is a dream for any artist, she says.
Joakim Milder pays tribute to her latest album Ambivalence:
It is a mature work with a clear artistic language, a strong aesthetic and impressive craftsmanship. In addition, she is a captivating singer. This is something we are really looking forward to.

The successful tour The Soul of Christmas reaches new heights. Just like last year, it features gospel star Samuel Ljungblahd and the Norrbotten Big Band, who this year will be joined by two exciting new additions in the form of pop and jazz singers Linnea Henriksson and Sabina Ddumba.
Norrbotten Big Band and soul and gospel star Samuel Ljungblahd are collaborating again on the tour The Soul of Christmas in December 2025. They have previously done several acclaimed tours together, most recently last year. This time they will also be joined by pop and jazz singer Linnea Henriksson and pop singer Sabina Ddubma.
The music is of the utmost world class, with new songs, classic arrangements and a lot of Christmas spirit.
Joakim Milder, artistic director of Norrbotten Big Band, is already looking forward to it.
– It will be an adventure! It is always special to come to these concert halls and play for so many people. Yes, it is truly a favor, says Milder.
Samuel Ljungblahd:
– Total joy to go on tour with The Soul Of Christmas again!! That I and Norrbotten Big Band get to do this this year together with the magical Linnea Henriksson and the lovely Sabina Ddumba, will lift the tour to heavenly heights!! Let's go!!!
Norrbotten Big Band has collaborated with Linnea Henriksson several times, including in connection with a Christmas tour in 2022. Last year they also did an emotional and successful concert tour together, where they played her music in a new way.
Linnea Henriksson is looking forward to a new reunion.
– You have to pinch yourself as an artist when you get to go on a tour you would otherwise have liked to go and see. It's an incredible group to share the stage with and I can't think of a better way to get in the Christmas spirit, she says.
Sabina Ddumba has previously collaborated with great artists such as Katy Perry and Danny Saucedo, but is new to this company. She was raised in the gospel tradition and broke through in 2015 with the hit single "Not too young". In the same year, she was awarded as Newcomer of the Year at both the Grammis and P3 Guld Awards.
– If there is any way I want to welcome Christmas, it is together with Samuel Ljungblahd, Linnea Henriksson and the Norrbotten Big Band! I am so looking forward to sharing the stage and playing with these fantastic musicians, says Sabina Ddumba.Studio Acusticum, Stora salenContactinfo@studioacusticum.comSaturday 20 December

Behind the name 1900 hides the versatile composer, artist and sound artist Christian Gabel. Using old-fashioned recording equipment and an unbeatable sense of minimalist melodies, he revisits and reworks the previous century in noisy sound collages. In 2018, ten years after the self-titled debut album, the Orion Theater was taken over to perform the music on stage for the first time. A concert series that today is almost considered a classic.
The 1900 project has become an unlikely success story where many people have taken the instrumental music to their hearts. The song Den minsta av segrar has even become a bit of a hit that has frequently appeared on various TV programs. The debut was followed in 2016 by the album Tekno, which also used collages of sounds and melodies captured with analog tape recorders to create a world all its own. A world that fully comes into its own on stage. But with his audiovisual concert, Gabel has created a format where film meets music in a hypnotic flow. In the spring of 2024, a third 1900 album, Kontragarde, was released. An album that thematically revolves around artistic creation in general and the idea of avant-garde in particular. In the fall of 2025, a return visit will be made to the Dramaten in Stockholm. The two evenings on the national stage are part of a tour that will also make an impact in Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Lund, Umeå, Piteå and Copenhagen.Studio Acusticum, Stora salenContactinfo@studioacusticum.comSaturday 10 January

The Met presents a grand new production of I Puritani, the first in nearly 50 years. It will be performed live at Studio Acusticum on January 10, 2026.
I Puritani was the final work of Vincenzo Bellini, the great Sicilian exponent of bel canto opera. Written specifically for four of the greatest singers of the time, the opera's success depends almost entirely on the singers' vocal abilities and artistic sensibilities. The opera suggests that the thin veil of reason can be torn at any moment and that madness can plunge a person into a destructive abyss. I Puritani had its world premiere at the Théâtre Italien in Paris in 1835. We see a world-class quartet of stars, conducted by Marco Armiliato, in the demanding leading roles. Soprano Lisette Oropesa and tenor Lawrence Brownlee are Elvira and Arturo, united by love but torn apart by the political conflicts of the English Civil War; and baritone Artur Ruciski as Riccardo, betrothed to Elvira against her will, and bass-baritone Christian Van Horn as Elvira's sympathetic uncle, Giorgio.

Tchaikovsky's many moods – tender, grand, melancholic – are given free rein in Eugene Onegin. The opera is based on Pushkin's iconic verse novel. Similarly, Tchaikovsky took Western European operatic traditions and transformed them into an authentically and indisputably Russian work. At the center of the opera is the young Tatyana, who develops from a sentimental teenager to a consummate woman in one of the most compelling character developments in opera history. Eugene Onegin had its world premiere at the Maly Theatre in Moscow in 1879, with students from the Moscow Conservatory. In 1881, it had its professional premiere at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.

The production draws inspiration from their paintings and features a libretto by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz. It will be shown live in theaters at Studio Acusticum on May 30, 2026.
The story is designed as a reversal of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and depicts Frida, sung by the distinguished mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, as she leaves the underworld on the Day of the Dead to be reunited with Diego, played by baritone Carlos Álvarez. The famously feuding couple briefly relive their stormy love, embracing both passion and pain before bidding a final farewell to the world of the living.
