Piteå is an attractive city to live and work in. The administration for Community Planning combines operations from several councils to improve the process of large complex queries, where social, economic and ecological sustainability is an important starting point.
Community planning, competence support and physical parts such as infrastructure and detailed development plans within the same administration gives us a better overall view. It also makes collaboration easier and creates a clearer entrance to the municipality in many issues for citizens and business owners. The five departments are responsible for different parts of the development of society - from concept and design to operation ang production.

Labor market and integration
Responsible for labour issues and coordination of refugee and integration issues.
Physical planning
Responsible for the planning of the physical environment, building permits and energy issues, environment, health, land and traffic matters.
Technology and streets
Responsible for infrastructure, street lighting, as well as accessibility and traffic safety on municipal streets.
