Initially, the area was developed to provide workers with easy access to their workplaces, but today Skuthamn is a safe and family-friendly residential area with fantastic views and proximity to employers. Moreover, Skuthamn is close to Piteå Havsbad, which is Sweden's largest camping and conference facility. Throughout the year, there are plenty of activities for the whole family, regardless of the weather. Spa facilities, play areas, adventure pools, a golf course, and a children's club are just a few examples of the activities offered. Piteå Havsbad also hosts various events featuring different types of entertainment, ranging from comedians and artists to sports events.
